Holzer Clinic first opened a facility in Jackson, Ohio in February 1977. Initially, services were limited to Family Practice, but as the health care needs of Jackson have changed, Holzer Clinic Jackson has consistently expanded to meet those needs.

This growth continued with the addition in June 2000 of a 64,000 square-foot facility, located just off US Route 35 on Pattonsville Road. It is approximately 30 miles north of the Main Clinic in Gallipolis.
